To do this you need to make your letter stand out from the other junk mail by connecting to your reader on a personal basis. 3 Personal Touch techniques for connecting readers in a single glance ● Have a blue signature that looks real● User a red marker to circle, underline & markup your letter ● Personalize your letter as much as possible
Having a blue signature that is beyond a shadow of a doubt real, conveys that you took the time out of your day to send me a letter. The red marker builds on this concept and brings out the important parts of your letter without hype. Finally when you personalize the letter, and you scatter their name throughout - your prospects will sub concisely see this, and love it. It also reinforces that this is a personal letter. Not to mention that people are vain, they love to see their name in print - even if they know you're trying to sell them something. Now that you have your prospects reading here is how to keep them on track #1 - Make the letter personal - Personalize the letter as much as possible for each person. Circle, underline, and write important information on the letter - Make your reader believe that this isn't just another piece of "junk mail".#2 - Do not look mass produced! #4 - Answer the phone when they call, I don't know how many times I have called peoples phone numbers to verify and they never pickup.
